This book is not only an example of folklore contemporisation, but also my diploma project in British High School of Art and Design. The original theme is "Contemporary Illustration of Russian Folk Tales" which was guiding me through all the analysing of traditional artists, old illustrations and symbols presented in the original texts.

This book is not only an example of folklore contemporisation, but also my diploma project in British High School of Art and Design. The original theme is "Contemporary Illustration of Russian Folk Tales" which was guiding me through all the analysing of traditional artists, old illustrations and symbols presented in the original texts. The base of the book is taken from the collections of Alexander Afanasyev, the great researcher of Russian folk tales - the tales "The White Duck", "Tsarevna The Snake" and "The Petrified Kingdom" are all united by the topic of transformation visible in each tale in different reinterpretations.

The book consists of 52 pages, a hard cover with a meaningful design and is presented in the size 185 x 240 mm. All of the illustrations were made with oil, on paper or on wood - some of them were also presented on the degree exhibition.
